  Sleeping Beauty Gallery

La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, is a gallery of displays on the second floor of the castle, that circle the ornate lobby, which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures.

The oval stained-glass window at the right gradually changes from a rose (symbolizing beauty) to two doves (symbolzing song) and back again, through the use of polarised light from behind.

Because of space constraints, is has been recreated as an “instant” change by "the World according to Jack" blog..

The tale is told in a series of gorgeous stained glass windows, which were created & overseen by Peter Chapman in London, who had previously worked on the restoration of Notre Dame de Paris.
